College Football Picking Against The Line Game.

Everyone Starts with $500 fictional dollars. I will keep track of everyones totals who wants to play on the leaderboard. You can bet on one game, or as many a week that are listed here by me. You can bet as much or as little on every game, no games, or some of the games. It is for fun.

Jackpot (Core Games): To win the Jackpot one must pick the winner of ALL 5 core games for the week. Core games being the 5 teams in the Bumpshack Top 5 Poll. It does not matter how much you place on any of the games, but you must get all of the games for the week right. You can still bet on just one, or two or so games, but to be eligible for the jackpot you have to bet on all of the games and be right.

After the 5 core games I will list 2 or 3 bonus games that can be bet on as well. Usually games of interest to those of us on the board.

Home team is listed last.
- = that team is favored by that amount
+ = that team is spotted that many points, the other team is favored by that many.

Examples:
UCLA v. Stanford +7.5
North Texas v. LSU -44

Example 1: LSU is favored to win by 44 points. So if you pick LSU then they have to win by 45 points for you to win your money you bet on it.

If LSU wins by 43 points then North Texas wins.

Example 2: You pick Stanford. Stanford can lose the football game and you can still win. If Stanford loses by less than 7.5 points then you win.

Here are my picks in red. I am staying away from the Georgia/Florida game and not betting on that one. I would still pick Georgia I think though. I am also leaving the Texas game out. I know Texas will win but not sure about that margin.

OK, I do not follow football at all, let alone college football! :D However I'll give it a go:

Georgia over Florida- $100
UCLA over Stanford $50
Texas (of course!) over Oklahoma- $200
North Texas over LSU (HA HA HA!) $100

The Leaderboard has been updated. Katshack with her all or nothing bet on USC is in first place by a landslide. Colleen on the other hand is down to having a tank of gas. The rest of us are pretty close right there in the middle of the pack.

More people can join in this week. You start with $500. For those of you who played this week, you have the amount left in your account for week #2.

Since we are playing with 'play' money. I think we will have a fictional jackpot . Everything that is lost weekly will go into that pot. So after week number one the jackpot is up to a whooping $60.00.

A tank of gas? ;D Now if it were a real tank of gas I wouldn't mind! Actually it would be a tank and a half since the gas prices are way cheaper here in Texas than in Cali! :D Hey, I said I didn't know a thing about college football and I proved it! Better luck to me next week!
